Anonymous: i hate how pjo fans always call rick sassy when really he's being an asshole to the people that read his shitty books

carterkane-deactivated20140124:

this is so true, anon. i’ve wanted to make a post about this for ages.

he’s really, really rude to some of his fans on twitter, and like..sure, i understand some jokes and i can take some jokes. but consider this scenario: (which actually happened, and which the fandom glorified for weeks on end of course)

a fan sends him a tweet, asking him a question about the series. they unfortunately make a typo. and he replies, just mocking them for the typo rather than answering the actual question, and then he proceeds to mock the typo in his next two or three tweets.

now. that shit ain’t funny. that’s just rude as hell. the fan might not even have english as their first language. typos happen, get the hell over it. so imagine how they must’ve felt throughout this whole thing. happy to get a response, but crushed when they realised him and his thousands of fans were making fun of them??

he’s nearly 50 years old, for god’s sake. what the hell is this kind of behaviour? it’s not excusable. it’s NOT sassy. it’s called being an asshole.  rick AND the fandom both need to grow the hell up about this whole thing.
